Scottish OCR Awards
What happens when you gather all the Scottish obstacle course racing (OCR) scene in one room when drinks and music are involved?
Only time will tell and we will be finding out soon as this year sees the first Obstacle Course Racing Scotland Awards Ceremony.
The awards ceremony will be a fantastic way to celebrate the best of all things Scottish OCR!
These awards signify how far the sport has come in the past few years, and with more races popping up all over Scotland.
And with more people catching the OCR bug, hopefully, this will be the first of many ceremonies.
We visited our first OCR awards ceremony at the Mudstacle Awards in December. It was a great night with the kind of vibe that typifies the OCR community.
We were delighted to be there and over the moon to be named on the top 3 shortlist for the Best Value OCR in the UK.
Now we look forward to Scotland’s first OCR Awards ceremony and it’s safe to say that we are looking forward to seeing our Scottish OCR friends and celebrating what has been an epic year with new events, improved events, top athletes, loads of mud, great obstacles and top banter.
As much as we love seeing you soaked to the bone and covered in mud after races, it will make a nice change to see all of our OCR friends dressed to impress.
Our Bing Blazer event has been nominated at the awards ceremony for:-
- Best Race
- Best Obstacle
- Best Medal
- and Best Value Event
We are delighted to be named in these categories with so many other top race brands.
We are also happy to see our newest event Bing Blazer: Park Life nominated in the Best Newcomer and Toughest Race categories.
Of course we will be hoping to pick up some awards as it has long been public knowledge that we want to be BIGGER and BETTER with every event we do.
That is the Bing Blazer promise and no matter what the result we will be there to celebrate Scottish OCR and take inspiration into our next event on May 23rd.
We are going all out to make it the BIGGEST and BEST, BING BLAZER yet!
A huge thanks has to go to the Bing Team, many of whom are volunteers and devote their time to their passion, OCR.
Also thank you to all you Bing Blazers who have brought your passion, enthusiasm and banter to our events. You truly are awesome and you make the events what they are.
A special thanks should also be made to Paul Wyatt and the team at OCR Scotland in their efforts to continually keep us up to date with all things OCR and drive the growth of the Scottish OCR scene.
If you would like to cast your vote then click on the link below. No matter what the result we will always strive to deliver our Bigger, Better, Bing Blazer promise. See you soon at an OCR.
