Park Life - only Euro qualifier in Scotland

Park Life as OCR European Championship Qualifier for 2016

As many of you may have seen on our website, Park Life is now European OCR Championship Qualifying race… But you may be asking what they actually are.

OCR Euro Championship

Well, think of the best and keenest OCR runners in Europe all in one place to pit their wills against the course and of course each other to get the top spot!

This year there was a few representatives from Scotland at the championships which took place on June 12th 2016 in Recreation ground Berendonck, Nijmegen/Wijchen, the Netherlands.

There was few massive and well-designed obstacles (and the infamous clogs obstacle) and we are glad that Bing Blazer Park Life and Bing Blazer 2017 will be qualifying races.

How do you qualify for the event?

It’s simple, but definitely not easy. You have to place in the top 10 (within your age category) within a qualifying event.

Park Life is now the only qualifier in Scotland in 2016, so if you want to qualify before 2017 Park Life is the place to do it. It will only be the 10km which is available for qualification however.

The male age groups are as follows: 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60 up.

The female age groups are as follows: 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60 up.

If however, you miss a qualifying event then you can enter through the ‘journeyman’ ticket route which means that you are no longer going for the best in Europe, but can still take in the whole experience!
