Marc Cherrie - For Health & Charity
This is the truly inspiring story of Marc Cherrie.
Marc changed his lifestyle, became fitter alongside raising money for a charity close to his heart.
In 2015 he completed:
- Dirty Weekend
- Spartan Sprint and Super
- Bing Blazer
- Subway 5k
- Edinburgh & Fort William Marathon
- Tough Mudder
- Tartan Warrior
- Total Warrior
- Scottish Half Marathon
- EMF 10k
- MK 10k
- Spartan Beast
- Men’s Health
- and our 240 challenge Bing Blazer Park Life.
But, he is not stopping there - still to come is the Aviemore Half Marathon, Edinburgh 10k, Movember 10k and Santa Dash.
With 17 races down and 4 still to go Marc is going to complete a whooping 21 races in the calendar year.
However, the story behind why he is completing the races is the reason he deserves a blog all to himself.
Big Lifestyle Change in support of Macmillan
At the start of the year Marc was 18 stone.
Despite this he decided to go on a gruelling conquest to support Macmillan Cancer.
He wanted to repay Macmillan for supporting his Mum, Aunty, Gran, and Papa through their battles with cancer. And, the continued support following the loss of his Gran and Papa.
Marc has also made great strides in his own health and fitness since starting this journey, losing 4 stone in the process. He is an inspirational character for sure, as well as being a lovely guy.
